World number five Pegula opts for Libéma Open

Jessica Pegula has included Libéma Open in her schedule. The world number five will make her appearance at the international tournament on the grass courts of the Autotron ‘s-Hertogenbosch from 8-16 June.

Pegula has been at the top of women’s tennis for years. Her highest ranking in singles is third. In doubles, she even occupied the first position on the world ranking list last year.

The 30-year-old American reached the quarterfinals at all Grand Slam tournaments. With this, Pegula underlines her versatility.
In total, the player from Buffalo has four WTA singles titles and seven doubles titles on her record.
Pegula is coming to Brabant for the second time. Her first appearance dates back to 2015.

Elise Mertens has also pledged her participation in the only WTA tournament in the Netherlands.
The ATP tournament can in any case count on the arrival of titleholder Tallon Griekspoor, Grand Slam champion Daniil Medvedev and Australian Alex de Minaur.
